Welcome to the new Work Well website!

The Work Well Project was founded by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) in 2018, with support from a Building Better Opportunities grant from the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund. Work Well aimed to support 900 residents with mental health problems across the London Boroughs of Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark into sustainable employment.

The original Work Well Project has now ended, but the legacy of the project is that Work Well has now become a network of employment services for SLaM patients across Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark and Croydon – working together in partnership to deliver high quality employment support to people when they need it.

Many of us are currently affected by changes in our employment situation due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Whether we are in work or out of work, it can be difficult to look after our mental health during this challenging time. So, we have decided to re-launch the Work Well website with some helpful tips and advice about looking for work and staying in work, and an Advice Line, run by a team of Employment Specialists (see the Work Well advice line page).

We don’t have all the answers, and we’re learning new things every day as the UK job market changes, but our aim is to share information and advice where we can, and signpost people to the right services when they need them. We hope you find it useful!
