Work Well can help you to find paid work if you are experiencing common mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. Through regular, one-to-one sessions with a career coach, we can help if you are:
- wanting to find paid work,
- experiencing depression or anxiety,
- aged 25 or over,
- living in Lewisham, Lambeth or Southwark,
- unemployed or economically inactive (not currently earning), and
- eligible to work in the UK.
Work Well is run by the Career Management Service (CMS) at South London and Maudsley NHS Trust (SLaM). Over the last twelve years, the CMS has delivered employment support to over 4,000 people with mental health conditions in the London Boroughs of Southwark and Croydon.
We are funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities programme. The Big Lottery Fund uses money raised by National Lottery players to help communities achieve their ambitions. From small, local projects to UK-wide initiatives, its funding brings people together to make a difference to their health, wellbeing and environment. Since June 2004 it has awarded £8.5 billion to projects that improve the lives of millions of people.
